My career in the homebuilding industry started in 1991. My roles included;
• Coordinating Realtor grand openings (from the planning stage to
overseeing all trades, i.e.caterer, invitations, etc.)
• Staging model homes
• Working with the sales staff to implement procedures and processes
• All master color schemes in addition to meeting one on one with each
buyer to select colors
• Signage and all marketing materials for the different communities
• Walking the Model Home for a final quality inspection prior to staging
• Coordinating landscape design for Model Home Park
Over the years my father, the late George Thomas, encouraged me to
understand different levels of the homebuilding process. While my duties
in the marketing field continued, I began to be involved in the design
and build process. I spent time at the construction sites and was taught
"on site" about Foundation systems, Framing & Mechanical. In addition to
learning about the "sticks & bricks" I was submerged in cost analysis
and budgeting. I soon discovered that this aspect was a critical part in
the success of any homebuilding operation. In the late ninety' s, with
much encouragement from my father, I started Quality Craft Homes.
From the beginning I knew this was my future and thankfully I had some
previous training. I started slow with a few homes , then onto acting as
General Contractor on a few very high end custom homes. I started to
form relationships with mortgage lenders and land developers which today
have grown into very healthy strong ties. My business has grown steady
over the years. I can say Quality Craft Homes has consistently been a
Top 10 Builder in EI Paso with over 500 families living in a Quality
Craft built home. Throughout the years I have built a broad product line
from entry level to high end. I am familiar with the dynamic market
conditions present in El Paso. Being a Native EI Pasoan does help!
Identifying the buying market is key!
I meet with every single buyer to insure they are comfortable with the
buying process. In 2010 I received an Energy Star Leadership Award.
Quality Craft Homes offers homeowners (1) one year warranty coverage
against defects in material and workmanship, (2) two year warranty
coverage pertaining to the major systems including plumbing, heating and
cooling, and electrical systems, and finally a (10) ten year warranty
with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty that covers major structural damage. Our
warranty staff is committed to our homeowner's total satisfaction.
Before you close on your home you have 3 inspections; a preliminary
walkthrough, a 3rd party inspection and a final walkthrough.
I'm an active member of the EI Paso Association of Builders and in good
standing with the Better Business Bureau.
